You have a lifetime to work, but children are only young once. ~Polish Proverb
Good Morning!
When my children were young people often told me how time flies and how soon my children would be grown and out of the house. I listened to them but in the back of my mind I was always saying “well my life will be different”. It wasn’t.
It seems like yesterday that I was carrying one of them on my hip. It seems like yesterday that I was watching them play T-ball. It seems like yesterday that I was dropping them off at Kindergarten.
I know that in one way or another you have heard today’s quote many many times from many many sources. Like me, I am assuming that you brush off that statement with the same nonchalance that I did. Please don’t.
As one who has been there and done that I ask you to please really look at this quote and take it to heart. I know that there is always laundry to do, houses to clean, basements and garages that need to be cleaned, errands to run, and a huge variety of other jobs that need to be done. Those jobs will always be there, your children will not always be young.
So…find ways to spend time with your children. Do chores with your children. Play with your children. Have fun with your children. Take it from me, time is running out!
Have some fun today!
Peggy
